Over the last few years, we’ve quietly become known for our electric Land Rovers. But if you’ve walked into the Jaunt workshop anytime recently, chances are you’d have seen something else parked under the lights: a Mini Moke. Or two.
Today, we’re officially launching something we’ve been building behind the scenes for a long time—our electric Moke conversion platform.
This is not a prototype or a one-off. It’s a fully engineered, road-legal EV system developed specifically for the original Mini Moke. And it’s now available for restorers, automotive workshops, and anyone else who wants to build electric Mokes the right way.
An Australian Icon, Reimagined
The Moke has always been simple, joyful, and just a little ridiculous. Born out of necessity, it ended up on beaches, farms, island resorts—and in plenty of memories. But driving one in 2025 is a different story. They’re slow. They rattle. They need constant work. And that’s where we come in.
We’ve re-engineered the Moke to be everything it was meant to be: light, nimble, open-air fun—but with the reliability, performance, and safety of a brand new EV
What We’ve Built
This isn’t a DIY kit. It’s a complete conversion platform, designed to be installed by qualified workshops or at our own Melbourne facility.
At the heart is a high-voltage EV system that includes a 400V battery, electric motor and inverter, custom driveshafts, bi-directional charging, and a full 12V architecture—all built to meet Australian Design Rules (ADR). There’s also a new dash, modern gauges and controls, and an electric park brake. And yes, it’s still a true four-seater that doesn’t tip the GVM.
Every element has been thought through: how it fits, how it’s cooled, how it handles. The platform is modular, so workshops can build the Moke their customer wants—whether that’s something close to stock or a beach cruiser with all the extras.
Available Now
The platform is now available to qualified workshops, and we’re also taking a limited number of direct builds. Pricing starts at $140,000 plus the donor vehicle.
This is just the start. We’ll be announcing more platforms soon, but the Moke is special. It’s lightweight, low-impact, and made for short, joyful drives. Now it’s electric—and ready for the next fifty years.
