SERIES & DEFENDER

Land Rovers are wonderful, but terrible. They can be difficult to operate, they’re loud and they’re some of the most inefficient vehicles on the road.

Conversion to an electric drivetrain transforms them. It removes all the mechanical complexity, increases the capability but leaves all the charm. A 4WD that’ll get you out into the bush (or around town) using renewable energy.

FAMILY HEIRLOOM

OR NEW CAR

Either bring your own Land Rover or we can source one. Older vehicles require more restoration but have more personality (and design flexibility). Newer vehicles can be equiped with more powerful electric drivetrains.

materiality

Every touchpoint refined. It’s still a classic Land Rover with visible bolts, rivets and clamps, but each element has been upgraded to improve safety, strength and feel.

WORLDWIDE
DEVELOPMENT

Built around a 55kWh or 110kWh battery pack, Jaunt’s Land Rover system has been developed collaboratively across the UK and Australia. Bringing together the world’s best electric vehicle conversion engineering, design and calibration.

EV POWERTRAIN

SPECIFICATIONS

Land Rovers from 1958 - 2015 look very similar and share a huge number of body panels. However there’s some key mechanical differences. In particular, the transition to coil springs in 1985 brought a redesigned chassis and much improved handling. This allows us to install much more powerful EV systems.

HOW IT WAS
MEANT TO BE

We’re not trying to replicate an agricultural driving experience, we’re improving it. Keeping the styling and ‘feel’ of the original car, but making changes that take away the hard work, carbon emissions and headaches.

A VEHICLE
THAT BELONGS

Land Rover’s helped build our major infrastructure, they fought bushfires, they worked on farms, they deployed around the globe and they brought aid to remote communities.

They’re a part of the landscape and we remanufacture them into an electric vehicle that belongs.

HOLISTIC

IMPROVEMENTS

We don’t just make the Land Rovers go faster, we improve every aspect of the vehicle, upgrading braking, steering, suspension and handling. While also reducing noise, vibration and harshness.

THE MODERN(ISH) CONVENIENCES

We inspect every vehicle prior to conversion to assess items that need repair or service. Included as standard are upgrades to the brakes, power steering and HVAC.

A FULL CHARGE

Unlike modern EVs, Land Rover Series and Defenders are not the most aerodynamic vehicles, and like any car above 80km/h battery range will be significantly effected.

Electric vehicles perform amazingly in stop start traffic and off road. Along with regenerative braking, comparatively excellent range is achievable.
As standard Jaunt Land Rovers includes a 6.6kW single phase AC on board charger and a CCS2 DC fast charge socket.
